About Me
...and why I started Samson Strong.

"Hi, my name is Josh..."
No matter your walk of life or background, no matter how much spare time you have, no matter what your self-image or physical fitness level is, you can make a change and work towards being stronger and fitter mentally and physically.
Exercise doesn’t have to be a chore or a boring repetitive time of going through the motions. Exercise doesn’t have to be intimidating or a time to feel timid and confused. Exercise is a tool towards building discipline and joy regardless of your starting point.
I’m looking to show people that exercise is more than just working towards a new body, it’s about the mental strength that comes with it. Whether you have hours of dedicated time a week or feel like you barely have time to sit down for a 5-minute break, you have the opportunity to unlock the benefits of exercise, with the physical results being a side effect of this new mental strength.
"True strength transcends the numbers on a barbell. It begins with the mind - cultivating discipline, integrity and resilience. The physical transformation is merely a reflection of this inner fortitude."

I believe exercise has so many variants that allows everyone to enjoy the benefits of being stronger and fitter. In this day and age of social media, I believe fitness has taken a toxic turn towards vanity and people pleasing. My training has stepped away from this mindset and I believe focusing on discipline and pushing yourself to new limits without the flashy lights or external validation are the staples of any training program and the basis of true growth.
I offer simple, uncomplicated training and I am willing to base each and every program around you as an individual, there is no one size fits all for fitness. I provide exercise routines suited to your personal situation and interests and have trained people in bodybuilding and strength sports through to injury rehab and movement training.
